About Elen
A linguist with experience of working across language-related fields, including language research and teaching, Elen brings wide-ranging knowledge to all of Idiom's translation work. From her doctoral research, where she studied the use of different styles of Welsh, she's attuned to the nuanced ways in which people adapt and play with language in all its varied contexts. She has worked in the public sector in Wales in a role with oversight over the translation industry, and received her translation training at two well-established Welsh translation firms. She is fully qualified as a Welsh for Adults tutor, and is a full member of Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru. Her full membership is the highest level for translators working in Welsh.
